Rose’s life was marked by the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. With salvation as her greatest gift, she lived every day as an act of worship, sharing God’s everlasting love with everyone she could. Her first ministry was to her family. Rose was a devoted wife and mother to their four children. It was through her that her husband came to saving faith in Jesus, and together they raised their children to love and serve the Lord, their family and community.

As a pastor’s wife, she served her church family in immeasurable ways, including ministering to its youngest members through Sunday school. Rose is best known by her family and friends as a fierce prayer-warrior, starting every day praying for each family member by name. She also demonstrated a servant’s heart by practically and intentionally caring for her neighbors. God used Rose to plant seeds of faith in countless people’s lives, bringing honor and glory to her heavenly Father.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Domingo H. Castillo. Also, her children Domingo Castillo, Jr. (LaDonna) of Lawton, OK, and daughters Rebecca Contreras (Tony) of Mont Belvieu, TX, Micaela Gutierrez (Eloy) of Eagle Lake, TX, and Del Teague (Terry) of Huntersville, NC.
