Juan Esquivel

Juan M. Esquivel passed away February 8, 2021 at the age of 73. He was born in Laredo, Tx on February 12, 1947 to Trini and Juan Esquivel. He was the fourth born in a family of eight. Martin High School was his teenage years until 1966 when he decided to become a U.S. Marine and serve his Volunteer in Vietnam. Staff Sargent Esquivel served two tours and received an honorary discharge with two purple hearts.  Shortly after Vietnam he lived abroad in Australia, Japan and Hawaii before returning to Laredo, Tx. He met his then future wife at a dance in South Heights Chicago while working in the steel mills. He went on to achieve a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology and retired from Kelsey-Seybold Clinic after 20+ years. During his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and many other activities. He was extremely outgoing and when he set his mind to doing or learning a trade, he excelled at it.

Family will be at Eagle Lake Funeral Home from 5 till 8 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 to receive visitors and have time to share memories with family and friends.
