Sanjuana Estrada, 86, of Eagle Lake, passed away, Wednesday May 28, 2025 at her family’s home surrounded by her family. She was born in Durango, Mexico, on March 2, 1939, to Desiderio and Felicitas (Ibarra) Estrada.
Sanjuana loved her family and was able to raise her grandchildren until they were ready to attend school. Being a great cook, she was always cooking up something, and her homemade flower tortillas were a hit. She also made a great cup of coffee to go with her meals. She did work as a cabinet painter, but she loved to travel back to Mexico, shopping and dancing, but she never sugar coated anything.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Enedina Estrada and two brothers; Domingo and Sabino Estrada.
Sanjuana is survived by her sister; Mercedes Losoya. Nine children; Hugo E. Llanos (Diana), Felicitis E. Llanos, Anna E. Molina (Raymon), Guadalupe E. Llanos, Antonio E. Llanos, Armando E. Llanos (Melissa Martinez), David E. Llanos (Gudelia Martinez), Graciela E. Kucherka (Mark), and Omar E. Llanos (Connie). 50 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild on the way.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 6 PM on Monday, June 2, 2025, with a Rosary being recited at 6 PM, in the Chapel of the Eagle Lake Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M., Tuesday, June, 3, 2025 at the Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church ine Eagle Lake. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, Eagle Lake..
