Salvador Gallegos Rangel, querido esposo, padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, tatarabuelo y miembro devoto de su comunidad, falleció en paz el 15 de julio de 2025, a la edad de 87 años, rodeado del amor de sus hijos.

Nacido el 30 de diciembre de 1937 en Zacatecas, México, Salvador hizo su hogar en Eagle Lake, Texas, donde construyó una vida basada en la fe, la familia y el trabajo duro. Compartió 65 maravillosos años de matrimonio con su esposa, Josefina Rangel, cuyo amor y compañerismo fueron el fundamento de su sólida familia.

Como católico devoto, Salvador fue un miembro activo y comprometido de su parroquia local durante muchos años. Su fe fue una luz guía a lo largo de su vida. Fuera de la iglesia, encontraba paz y propósito en su jardín, donde pasaba incontables horas felices cuidando plantas, flores y verduras — un verdadero reflejo de su naturaleza paciente y generosa.

Además de sus 13 nietos, Salvador fue bendecido con 26 bisnietos y 2 tataranietos, cuyas vidas han sido marcadas por su ejemplo duradero de amor, fortaleza y fe.

El legado de Salvador es uno de bondad, sabiduría silenciosa y una devoción inquebrantable hacia sus seres queridos. Será profundamente extrañado por todos quienes tuvieron el honor de conocerlo.

El rosario se rezará a las 9:30 a.m., seguido por la misa fúnebre a las 10:00 a.m. en la Parroquia de la Natividad, ubicada en el 308 N. Stevenson St., Eagle Lake, TX 77434. La familia invita a todos quienes conocieron y amaron a Salvador a acompañarlos en esta celebración de su vida y fe.

Salvador Gallegos Rangel, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted community member, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by his loving children.

Born on December 30, 1937, in Zacatecas, Mexico, Salvador later made his home in Eagle Lake, Texas, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Josefina Rangel, whose love and partnership were the foundation of their strong family.

A devout Catholic, Salvador was an active and committed member of his local parish for many years. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life. Outside of church, he found peace and purpose in his garden, where he spent countless joyful hours nurturing plants, flowers, and vegetables — a true reflection of his patient and giving nature.

Salvador is survived by his children:

• Hector Rangel and his fiancée Marina, and children: Theresa, Chris, Jessica, Derrick, and Polina
• Salvador Rangel and his wife Laura, and their children: Jesse and Elizabeth
• Mari Tichacek and her husband Chuck, and their children: Ruby, Perla, and Victor
• Joel Rangel and his wife Vickie, and their children: Monique, Nicole, and Vanessa
• Eloy Rangel

In addition to his 13 grandchildren, Salvador was blessed with 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, whose lives have been shaped by his enduring example of love, strength, and faith.

Salvador’s legacy is one of kindness, quiet wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., at Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church, located at 308 N. Stevenson St., Eagle Lake, TX 77434. The family invites all who knew and loved Salvador to join them in this celebration of his life and faith.
