Rosa Ramirez

Rosa who loved to be called momma by her children, son in laws and many others who knew her, departed her loving family on August 17, 2021 to be with the Lord.

Rosa was born in Eagle Lake Tx to Paul and Elizabeth Gonzales on Feb 9, 1940.  She was mother to Rosie Navarro (Frank), Irene Jimenez (Eddie), Rudy Rodriguez, Gloria Rodriguez, Diana Gauna (Julian), Margie Garcia (Richard), the late Elena Fernandez, and Lupe Sauceda (Gabriel).

She raised her children with love and devotion in Eagle Lake Tx and then Victoria TX.

Momma loved eating out. Her favorite was steak, baked potatoe and salad. We celebrated her Birthday and Mother’s Day every year eating out as a family for as long as we can remember.

Her favorite thing to do was going to church, watching her game shows on Buzzer TV and she loved resale shopping which she passed on to us.

She is survived by her 6 daughters and 1 son.  17 grandchildren (Robert, Richard, Bonnie, Bianca, Bebe, Sarah, Alex, Alyssa, Brooke, Sammy, Mia, Lucas, Joshua, Laurel, Nathan, Jonah and Avianna)

24 great grandchildren (Haley, Elijah, Robert Jr, Anthony Jr, Kaleb, Christopher, Ayden, Joshua, Avery, Isaac, Demi, Grayson, Max, Lovely, Jedidiah, Tyler, Jeremy Jr, Matthew, Beckham, Christian, Mark, Violet, Evelyn and Jamyson.

Brother, Paul Gonzales Jr. Sisters, Mary Helen Vasquez and Elizabeth Fernandez.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Paul and Elizabeth Gonzales. Her husband, Manuel Ramirez. Her daughter, Elena Fernandez. Brothers, Julian (Pepe) Gonzales, Roman Hernandez, George Ramirez, Johnnie Gonzales, sister, Virginia Martinez.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug 20, 2021 at Eagle Lake Funeral Home at 5:00-8:00 pm.  Saturday service will be at 2:00 pm at Eagle Lake Funeral home followed by the burial at Nativity Cemetery on Austin Rd,  Eagle Lake Tx.
