Listen to Obituary

Ramiro “Ray” Pina, 68, of Eagle Lake, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family and his loving wife. He was born on April 2, 1957, in Fulshear, Texas to Domingo Pina and Julia (Garcia) Pina. After graduating from High School, he made his living as a General Contractor.

Ray will be remembered for his love of music and family. His greatest joys were singing and playing guitar with his children and brothers, whether on stage or at home. He was a talented musician and wrote many original songs, taking pride in helping both his children and grandchildren develop their own musical appreciations and talents. His favorite artist was Augustine Ramirez, whose music inspired him deeply.

Outside of music, he found a passion for woodworking and spent countless hours creating with his hands. He loved mowing his yard, BBQing, and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed relaxing with a good Western movie, a pastime that reflected the pleasure he found in classic stories. These simple joys reflected his appreciation for life and the beauty around him.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Helena Torres, Betty Rendon, and Carmelita Pina, as well as a brother, Armando Pina.
