Maria Osornio

Maria Felix Osornio, 67, of Eagle Lake, passed away, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in Eagle Lake. She was born on November 6, 1955, in El Zarron, San Luis, Mexico, to Pablo Orozco and Maria De Jesus Esparza Orozco.

As a member of Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church in Eagle Lake, she sang in the choir and was active with the Danza at the church. She was well known for her delicious tortillas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Maria Orozco, and a daughter Arcelia Osornio.

She is survived by her husband Francisco J. Osornio Sr. of Eagle Lake,; a son Francisco J. Osornio Jr. (Karina) of Sealy; three daughters; Maria De Jesus Soto of Eagle Lake; Cindy Osornio of Garwood; Sandra Figueroa (Miguel) of Eagle Lake. Three brothers; Francisco Orozco (Elvira), Aureliano Orozco, and Pablo Orozco (Elizabeth) all of Mexico; and a sister, Otilia Najera (Ramon) of Eagle Lake. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in the Eagle Lake Funeral Home Chapel, from 6 – 8 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2023, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church, in Eagle Lake. Interment will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, in Eagle Lake.
