Juan Rangel

Juan L. Rangel, 80, of Eagle Lake passed away February 28, 2021 by family to be with the Lord. He has been in silence battling cancer.

He was born on June 16, 1940 to Margarito Rangel and Felipa Leyva. He is survived by sons, Ernesto Rangel, Ramiro Rangel; daughters, Guadalupe, Martha, Theresa, Maricela, Lisa, Maribel Rangel; 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Juanita Rangel; brothers, Manuel, Margarito, Lupe, Rafael, Raul, Benito, David, Jesse Rangel and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 infant grandchildren and his long time companion Jenoveva Perez.

Special thanks to Amed Hospice and Oak River Healthcare Service. Our Dad received excellent care and comfort. A very big thanks to Lisa Fuente and family and his caregiver Irma de la Garza.

Serving as pallbearers will be Arnulfo Muniz, Jr., Angel Muniz, Abraham Muniz, Isaac Rangel, Christopher Rangel and Ramiro Rangel.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Eagle Lake Funeral Home with rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am Friday, March 5, 2021 at Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church.
