It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Josita V. Ibahay, who departed this life on August 13, 2026, in Sugarland, Texas. Josie was born on November 26, 1956, in Misamis Oriental Philippines. She was a beloved wife, sister, and friend, whose kindness and vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Josie was the cherished wife of Randall Spalinger for 31 years.

Josie is known for her generosity and unwavering loyalty. She was often the one person that friends and family turned to for warmth and guidance. Her honesty and consideration for others defined her relationships, making her a remarkable friend who would always lends a sympathetic ear or a helping hand.

Josie always enjoyed traveling; staying active over the years. She enjoyed being outside doing gardening, tending her chickens and playing with her dogs. She was a member of the Columbus Country Market for many years. So many people came to her booth for her delicious Filipino Eggrolls. She was known as an “Eggroll Lady”.

In reflecting on her life, we celebrate a woman who left a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew her. Though she has departed, her spirit will live on in the cherished memories shared by her loved ones. Josie will be remembered for her vibrant energy, her laughter, and her unconditional love for her friends and family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Josie’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the Eagle Lake Funeral Homes 2:00-4:00 pm.
