Esteban "Steve" Sanchez Cordoba

Estaban "Steve" Sanchez Cordoba was born in Gonzales, Texas on November 28, 1938. He and his family moved to Eagle Lake in 1944, where he lived until he passed away peacefully on May 13th, 2025.

Steve graduated from Eagle Lake High School in 1948. He worked for Fisher Scientific for many years. He was of strong Catholic faith.

Steve leaves behind his silings Hesiquio Cordoba, Gerarda Cordoba, Frances Posada and numerous nieces and nephews..

Steve is proceeded in death by his parents Antonio and Esther Cordova.Siblings; Lorenza Longoria, Martha Martinz, Amada Cordova, Tony Cordova, Bernabe Cordova, Leo Cordova and Juanita Gomez.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 PM, on Thursday, May 15th, 2025 at the Eagle Lake Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosay being recited at 6:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, May 16th, 2025 and the Parish of the Nativity Catholc Church, with Father Oscar Amo officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Cemetry in Eagle Lake. Pallbearers will be Christian Cordova, Christopher Cordova, Bernie Cordova, John Cordova, Jr., Phillip Gomez and Mark Garza. Honorary Pallbearers are Hesiquio Cordoba, Jose Posada, Bruno Leal, and Anthony Barrrios.
