Ernest Moore

Ernest Gene Moore, 65 of Bay City, TX formerly of Columbus, TX passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX.
He was born on July 3, 1955 in Livingston, TX to the late Davie and Tillie (Konviska) Moore of Eagle Lake, TX.
Ernest, known to some of us as Ernie or Bubba worked for the City of Eagle Lake for several years, then went to work for the City of Columbus for 28 years where he retired in 2019. Then in March 2020, he became an amazing Park Host for the Matagorda County Birding & Nature Center in Bay City, TX until he passed away.
He was a son, brother, father, uncle, papaw and friend with a huge and kind heart and will be missed dearly. He is gone, but will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death also by his grandparents; sister, Francis Sepeda, nephews, Christopher Maretka, Johnny Braddock and Mingo Sepeda, Jr., niece, Alexis Moore and great grand-daughter, Elisa Nicole Owens.
Survivors include; daughter, Tiffany Marie Moore of College Station; brothers, Everett Moore and children, Kolby and Kathryn. James Moore and children, Amy, Kristi, Rusty & Cody. Sisters; Elizabeth Maretka (Gene) and son, Michael. Janis Hayes (Glenn) and son Robert Henske and his wife Stacey and their daughters Haylie and Heidi. Step-Children; Stephanie Owens, Michele Jenkins (Melvin), Joseph Owens (Jennifer) and their mother, Gladys (Rie) Moore. Grandchildren; Clint Henry, Matthew, Mason & Megen Jenkins, Lynn, Tiffany & Michael Owens, and so many dear friends and family, too many to mention, but you know who you are, and you were all loved more than you will ever know.
Celebration of Life will be at 3:00pm, Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Frelsburg Baptist Church, 1839 FM 109, Frelsburg, TX. Also, FACE MASK will be required at all times, and please practice social distancing. Unfortunately, there will not be any gathering after the celebration.
